“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
Pablo Picasso
Ever since he was a small child, Florent has been passionate about the arts, from painting to photography, video editing, and writing. His wide range of interests includes culture, current events, astronomy, and travelling. If we were to sum him up in one word, we’d say Florent is a doer. He’s always let his dreams lead the way.
Florent has a gift for bringing people together. From the schoolyard, to the family dinner table, to his university classrooms, he has always had a knack for creating memorable moments. After 8 years in politics, Florent is now following his heart back to his first love: arts and culture. And he couldn’t have landed at a better place than FLIP Fabrique.
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
Gandhi
Florent left his native France in 2003 to study in Quebec, and loved it so much that he chose to make his life here. As an engaged, hands-on team player, he has lent his skills to a number of community organizations, events, and associations over the past 16 years.
In the last decade, Florent’s career has included stints as a press officer and marketing coordinator, researcher, and assistant for the Quebec City Summer Festival (FEQ), the Festival de cinéma des trois Amériques (Pan-American film festival), the Transat Québec-Saint-Malo sailing race, the Festival international de Musiques militaires, and a morning show for major television network TVA.
In October 2012, Florent served as a political advisor to the leader of Quebec’s official opposition on issues of employment, poverty, social economy, status of woman, and immigration. He then held a series of similar high-profile appointments – as press officer for Quebec’s Minister of International Relations, Christine St-Pierre, then as advisor to the mayor of Lévis and to Quebec’s Minister Responsible for Tourism and Labour, Dominique Vien. He ran for office in the provincial legislature in Taschereau in the 2014 Quebec election, and again in 2018.
With FLIP Fabrique’s stellar team of designers, artists, and technical professionals, we can build a show to suit your needs, around the theme of your choice.
