SLAM! : WHEN WRESTLING MEETS THE CIRCUS UNDER THE EYE OF ROBERT LEPAGE

The show SLAM! stormed onto the stage last week at Le Diamant in Quebec City, and will continue until April 7, 2024, at TOHU in Montreal. SLAM! offers a spectacular fusion between the world of wrestling and that of the circus.

CO-PRODUCED BY FLIP FABRIQUE AND EX MACHINA, AND DIRECTED BY THE LEGENDARY ROBERT LEPAGE, SLAM! HAS SUCCESSFULLY CAPTIVATED AND ENTERTAINED AUDIENCES WITH ITS UNIQUE BLEND OF ACROBATIC PERFORMANCES AND THEATRICALITY.

In a world dressed up as a wrestling gala, where colorful characters reign and combat scenes are as impressive as they are comedic, SLAM! transports audiences into a whirlwind of action and emotions. Each wrestler embodies an archetype, from Strong Man to Superhero, including the Scottish Highlander and the Mexican Luchador, adding a theatrical dimension to every showdown in the ring.

But SLAM! doesn’t limit itself to wrestling. Circus artists also offer high-flying acts, juggling cotton candy, swinging on tightropes, performing trampoline acrobatics, and mastering the diabolo with breathtaking skill. Each performance is an explosion of energy and talent, transporting the audience into a world where the impossible becomes reality.

One of the highlights of the show is undoubtedly the contortionist dance number, featuring Pretty Cowgirl opposite the imposing Amazonia. In a ballet of graceful movements and extreme flexibility, Pretty Cowgirl defies the laws of physics, captivating the audience with her incredible suppleness.

Audience interaction is also a key element of SLAM!. Spectators are invited to actively participate in the scenes and fights, adding an immersive dimension to the experience.

With its run until April 7th, SLAM! offers audiences an unforgettable experience, blending the excitement of wrestling with the magic of the circus.

Don’t miss this explosive encounter between two fascinating worlds!
